New workshops!

Something new to the Longhorn Wellness Club are the workshops! These workshops are meant to provide you with an interactive place to relieve your stress. Here we will do a lot of yoga exercises, relaxation techniques, meditation, guided imagery, etc. This will be much more hands-on than the seminars.

The seminars are meant to teach and expose students to different realms of Alternative Medicine through guest speakers and lessons in Mind/Body Medicine, Body Based Therapies, Whole Systems, and Biologically Based Therapies.

Bake Sale!

We have a bake sale coming up this Monday, Oct. 8th. Be sure to drop by West Mall between 11am-3pm to support the Longhorn Wellness Club! There is also a volunteer opportunity to help bake goods or sell them.

Kayaking Retreat!

Our kayaking retreat is Sunday, Oct. 7th!

We are meeting at Littlefield Fountain on 21st street at 11am. We will be done by 1pm. Please fill out this form –

We are going to The Rowing Dock! The address is 2418 Stratford Drive, Austin TX 78746. Be sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit wet! It’s only $10-$15.

Volunteering Opportunity!

There is a volunteering event for LWC this weekend.

Date: Saturday 8am-12pm.

What: We’ll be helping out at the Marathon Kids kick-off at the Mike A Myers Stadium (on Clyde Littlefield Drive).

Where: We’ll probably have to meet earlier at 7:30 to sign-in.
